On August 21st, the Fuzhou Medical Security Fund Management Center issued a notice on the purchase of Sanming Joint Limited Price Online Drugs on August 18th.
The notice clearly states that designated medical institutions under medical insurance can purchase drugs listed on the Sanming Joint Limited Price Procurement Network through the Fujian Province Pharmaceutical and Machinery Joint Limited Price Sunshine Procurement Network link to the Sanming Trading Platform.
Coincidentally, recently, Zhangzhou City also issued an official document requesting relevant medical institutions in the city to purchase Sanming online drugs through the provincial trading platform.
In fact, as early as August 7th, the Office of the Fujian Medical Security Management Committee announced the "Notice of the Office of the Fujian Medical Security Management Committee on the Procurement of Sanming Joint Limited Price Online Drugs", emphasizing that designated medical institutions in the province can purchase Sanming online drugs.
This means that in various regions of Fujian Province, hospitals can choose to purchase drugs purchased in quantity within their own region or drugs listed on the Sanming network. If the proportion of drugs is strictly controlled and medical insurance fees are controlled, certain drugs will be favored by most hospitals at lower online prices in Sanming.
From this trend, it can be seen that the prices of Sanming are spreading throughout Fujian Province. In the future, Fujian, a major province of healthcare reform that has received much attention, is likely to have only one price for all drugs, which is the bottom price of Sanming.
Due to the current networked procurement prices of provincial-level drugs in China, once the "Sanming Price" becomes the "Fujian Price", it will continue to be referenced by other provinces, resulting in the spread of the bottom price of Sanming in China.
Underlying drug prices are spreading domestically!
For a long time, the pharmaceutical industry has been unable to provoke the Sanming model, but it can be avoided. However, in recent years, China has repeatedly expressed its recognition of the "Three Ming Model" of the new healthcare reform stars in public.
On June 1st, the first phase of the comprehensive reform training course for urban public hospitals organized by the National Health and Family Planning Commission and the Medical Reform Office of the State Council was held in Sanming, Fujian. The course trained nearly 1200 relevant personnel from 138 newly added medical reform cities in China for half a month, with the aim of clarifying the reform path, drawing on useful experience, and accelerating the promotion of medical reform work.
According to statistics, there are a total of 334 prefecture level cities in China. Excluding 200 pilot cities for medical reform (including 4 municipalities directly under the central government and 196 prefecture level cities), only 138 prefecture level cities are not pilot cities for medical reform. The National Health and Family Planning Commission has conducted centralized training on 138 newly added medical reform cities in Sanming, Fujian, and has actually prepared to promote the Sanming model in all cities above the prefecture level.
So far, the scale of the "Sanming Alliance" has reached 19 prefecture level cities and 31 counties. The "Sanming Alliance" implements cross regional joint limited price procurement, and alliance members share medical reform information resources such as medicine, medical insurance, and healthcare.
